A dry finish. A cleaner handoff.
The volatile carrier evaporates to leave a dense protective film. The thin film is non-tacky with little oily feel, suitable for parts that need clean handling.
Thin-film protection.
A non-tacky finish.
Protect steel, cast iron and copper parts through storage and before the next process. KG-3 forms a thin, fast-drying film with little oily feel, and is easy to remove with alkaline cleaning.
Reference protection period without packaging.
Validate the bag, seal and storage environment.
Protection is a process: a clean, dry surface, a fully formed film and suitable packaging. Reference periods are not unconditional guarantees.
Plan a sample trial ↗Rust protection should consider handling, packaging and the process that follows. KG-3 combines a fast-drying film with a practical removal route.
The volatile carrier evaporates to leave a dense protective film. The thin film is non-tacky with little oily feel, suitable for parts that need clean handling.
Reference protection periods are one year without packaging and 3–5 years with plastic-bag packaging. Validate the target period against your surface condition, film formation, sealing and storage environment.
The film is easily removed in alkaline solution. Establish a cleaning trial before painting, plating or assembly to confirm the next process requirements.

Salt-spray hours are laboratory references and cannot be converted directly into field protection life. Substrate, surface preparation and application conditions matter.
Standardize your application before scaling. Dipping is recommended; drain and allow the film to form fully before packaging.
Start with clean, water-free parts. Remove all water before application.
Dip, brush or spray; dipping is economical and reliable. Do not use a rag to apply oil.
Let surplus oil drain and allow complete evaporation and film formation before packaging. Do not spin-dry.
Choose packaging around storage conditions. Record your process and inspect samples against your target protection interval.
Do not spin-dry. Do not apply with a rag. Do not oil parts above 40 °C. Keep the work area ventilated and follow the supplied MSDS for protection, storage and disposal.

KG-3 is suitable for steel, cast iron and copper parts, including machined components and spare parts. Alloy composition, surface treatments and residual cleaners can affect compatibility. Trial representative parts and check appearance, coverage and the next process; ask our engineers before using it on other metals.
The reference protection period is one year without packaging and 3–5 years with plastic-bag packaging. Actual performance depends on surface cleanliness, complete film formation, bag sealing, humidity and temperature changes. Set an inspection schedule and validate the target period under your own storage conditions.
The reference result is 18–24 hours on No. 45 steel using SH/T 0081. Salt spray is an accelerated laboratory test, not a direct conversion to storage or sea-freight life. Compare results only when the substrate, surface preparation, film and test method are comparable, then verify the complete packing process.
Clean the parts and remove all water. Apply by dipping, spraying or brushing; dipping is recommended where practical. Drain excess oil and allow the film to form fully before packing. Do not apply with a rag or spin-dry. Check recesses and contact points for complete coverage.
Parts must be clean and water-free, and must not exceed 40 °C when oiled. The application temperature range is −10 to 40 °C. Allow hot parts to cool and dry fully; check blind holes and recesses for trapped water before treatment.
The film is readily removed in alkaline cleaning solution. Before painting, plating, welding or other surface-sensitive processes, run a cleaning trial on representative parts. Check cleaner compatibility, concentration, washing and rinsing conditions, and the cleanliness required by the next process.
Tell us the metal and part dimensions, surface condition, application method, target protection period, storage or shipping conditions and estimated use. Photos and details of the next process are helpful. We can discuss grade selection, sample quantities and a trial plan before quotation.
